Chiswick Airport Terminal 5-Ongar was originally opened under the Orbital line
The section between Moorgate and Ongar, under poor usage, was closed in 2001
In order to shorten the already very long Orbital line, and strengthen the transport links in South West Chiswick as part of the South Western Investment Programme, the new Bunny Rise line was built between Chiswick Capital and initially Ongar, opening in 2013
An extension to Brockley Rise via Chase Hill opened in January 2015.
In November 2015, the line was further extended from Brockley Rise to Wimbledon Chase.
On 10th September 2017, the line was extended to Sandilands, thus completing the Bunny Rise line.
The whole line has ATO, the first full metro CHKU line to have it built from new.
Currently operated by MTR for Transport for Chiswick
