Facts:
Opened in 1947, the Carlswick line was originally called the Hunswick line.
It was only opened between Chiswick High Road and Iron Bridge in 1947, before extensions via the Orbital line took it to Hunslet by 1949.
Chiswick Capital opened in 1953, and the line was extended there, although the full station was completed in 1973 (formerly Rushden Park Junction).
Plans to take the Hunswick line over into Humus Quartus (Carlston) were mooted for over 25 years.
After Humus Quartus ceded from the United Counties, the extension over the border became a national affair, and construction finally started in 2001.
The line was renamed "Carlswick" in anticipation of the Carlston extension
The extension to Carlston/Udongein (now Udongein) opened in 2013
September 2016 led to the opening of Hammersmith Interchange (Carlston) and St Luke's stations in Carlston.
Currently operated by Odakyu and x-border for Transport for Chiswick and Carlston Transit Authority
