Opened on 17th February 2018, between Chiswick Capital/Turnham Green and Westcliff as Stage 1 of the new line.
Stage 2 opened on 23rd June 2018, between Westcliff and Orchard Park
Stage 3 and 4 (Formula Park-Holmer Green) opened in November 2018
Stage 5 (Holmer Green-Orchard Park) opened on 15th June 2019
Stages 6 and 7 (Chiswick Capital-Auburn) opened on 17th November 2019
Stages 8 and 9 will open between 2020 and 2022, these stages are the northern end of the line (Auburn-Malaki Mount).
Proposed in 2009, the new cross-city line will follow the New City Crossing between Chiswick Capital and Robinson Place
Construction started on Stage 1 in 2015, with Stages 2-5 construction commencing in early 2016.
Construction started on Stages 6-9 in early 2017.
Linking South Chiswick with North-East Chiswick, this line is primarily intended to relieve the 9 corridor in the south, as well as provide notable links in the north to Auburn, Avery Avenue and further north.
The whole line is and will be operated by ATO.
