Eastern line is currently the newest line on the Chiswick Underground network
Stage 1 between Eston (formerly White Hart) and Aldwych was the displaced section of the Whitwick line from its diversion in 2015 as part of the Cescob line. The rebrand to the Eastern line as part of the Eastern line project started on 2nd November 2019
The first new section, Stage 2 between Eston and Allsey opened on 16th November 2019
Stages 3 and 4 (Allsey/Corpus Christi-Auburn) opened in January 2020
Stage 5 (Auburn-Regstone) is planned to open in September 2020
Further extensions to Ackley Park and Erdington will open between 2021 and 2022
Proposed in 2011, it is designed to link East Chiswick, resolving many of the poor north-south eastern links, as well as link with new developments around SM Eastern Mall.
Construction started with the work on Eston (White Hart) Station in 2013 as part of the Cescob line changes.
The rest of the line began construction in 2014, and is planned to be completed in 2022
The whole line is and will be operated by ATO.
Currently operated by NN for Transport for Chiswick
